A good supply chain needs good suppliers, but the actual processes that go into sourcing goods and services are as complex as they are important. In making decisions about sourcing for organisations you'll need to balance cost and environmental, societal, economic and ethical concerns to create sustainable enterprises and outcomes. This course will equip you with the knowledge to assess a variety of sourcing strategies and processes across the public and private sectors, and it will teach you market analysis as it relates to supply and demand. You'll develop strategies to identify and respond to issues you'll likely encounter in the workplace, including general issues in purchasing and supply management and their strategic planning, and specific topics on asset procurement, contract management, supplier performance management, and risk management in sourcing.
