In line with the Australian Government’s new Migration Strategy, the Department of Home Affairs published changes to the assessment of Student Visa applications.
Following these changes, QUT will no longer accept applications from onshore applicants holding one of the following visa types where their current visa does not cover the entirety of their proposed studies:

· Visitor visa (including subclass 600, 601)

· eVisitor visa (subclass 651)

· Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) 

Applicants holding one of these visa types can lodge their applications to study at QUT once they have returned home.
