CQUniversity’s nursing course has leaped into the QS World University Subject Rankings for the first time, ranking in the top 200 in 2024.
Dean of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences, Professor Moira Williamson said she was elated to see nursing catapult into the 151-200 ranking category.
“It’s wonderful to be ranked among the world’s best providers of nursing courses and this success is a testament to our team’s continued commitment to our students, teaching and research,” Professor Williamson said.
“CQUniversity’s nursing courses are underpinned by research informed practice and meet the needs of the regions in an inclusive, student responsive manner.”
To produce the rankings for this year, QS analysed the reputation and research output of almost 5000 institutions globally.
CQUniversity ranked number four in Queensland for nursing and is the only Regional University Network (RUN) institution to be ranked for the subject.
CQUniversity also ranked 601-650 in the Medicine category, 401-450 in Agriculture and Forestry and 351-400 in the Education and Training category, a position it maintains from 2023.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world’s top universities in individual subject areas, covering 55 disciplines in 2024.
