The Australian Government recently announced that the allowable work hours cap for international students will be raised to 48 hours per fortnight. This revised cap is intended to assist international students to gain valuable work experience, and to assist them to support themselves through their studies, whilst maintaining study as the primary purpose of their visa. The reinstatement of work hour limits, with the variation to 48 hours per fortnight, will apply from 1 July 2023.
