HK PR Pathway to Australia is a special visa pathway created by the Australian government in response to the political situation in Hong Kong. It is designed to provide a pathway to permanent residency in Australia for eligible Hong Kong residents who wish to leave Hong Kong due to the ongoing political unrest.
To be eligible for the HK PR Pathway to Australia, you must hold a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) passport, be located outside of Hong Kong at the time of application, and have a degree-level qualification or higher in a STEM-related field, or have completed a vocational education and training (VET) qualification in a skilled occupation.
In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements, you must also satisfy the usual health and character requirements for Australian visas, and be able to demonstrate your ability to support yourself and any family members accompanying you to Australia.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be granted a five-year temporary visa that allows you to live, work and study in Australia. After three years, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residency in Australia.
